PSYC 2301 | Article Critique Assignment

Write a 2-3 page college-level paper in APA format, in which you analyze one scientific, peer reviewed article in the discipline of psychology and discuss how the results of the study may benefit the surrounding community and/or society as a whole.

For this assignment the article MUST be a research article and MUST HAVE SECTIONS LABELED " METHODS " AND " DISCUSSION ".

Topics can be anything in the field of Psychology.

You have to have an idea for a topic before you can begin searching for an article.

Notice that some of the search terms are in quotation marks, that tells the computer that you want articles where those two terms appear together as a phrase. The word "AND" in between search terms or sets of search terms tells the computer that you want both terms or sets of terms to appear in the same article, this has the effect of limiting your search. Using the "AND" limiter and the quotation marks are part of the method known as Boolean Searching which is the best way to search most library databases. These are the two best databases the San Jacinto College Libraries subscribe to for searching for scholarly articles in the field of Psychology. Start in the Psychology and Behavioral Sciences databases and if you don't find a suitable article, then try the Psychology database. If you still can't find an article that passes muster, ask a librarian for help.
